Apple Bread Pudding

Classic apple bread pudding, with plenty of apple and a scattering of raisins, all baked up in a delicious custard. Perfect Fall comfort food!

Soften the apples

Soften the apples and raisins in a skillet with some melted butter.

Add to bread

Add the softened apples and raisins to the bowl with the cubed bread.

Warm the milk

In the same skillet, warm the milk, brown sugar and butter  until the butter melts.

Add the the bread

Pour the milk mixture over the bread and apples in the bowl.

Eggs and cinnamon

Mix the egg with the cinnamon and vanilla and pour over bread mixture.

Mix it up!

Stir the mixture together well until combined.

Spoon into skillet

Spoon the mixture into a cast iron skillet or baking pan and bake.

Serve and Enjoy!

Serve warm drizzled with heavy cream or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
