Classic Apple Fritters
These classic, yeast-raised apple fritters are just like the ones from your favourite bakery or doughnut shop. Make them at home to enjoy anytime (and they freeze beautifully!).
Make the dough
This is a standard yeast dough, that will then be set to rise until doubled.
Prepare the apples
Dice up some apples and pre-cook them in a skillet slightly.
Shape the fritters
Combine the apples with the dough and shape the fritters. (Full video for shaping available!). Rise again and make the glaze.
Fry and glaze
Finally, fry them up and dip in the glaze.
These freeze beautifully, if you can eat them all up right away.
