HOW TO MAKE

PACZKI: FILLED DOUGHNUTS

Traditionally enjoyed on Fat Tuesday (or Thursday) as an indulgence before the start of Lent.

MIX DOUGH, RISE, ROLL & CUT

DOUGH INGREDIENTS

2 1/4 tsp dry active or instant yeast 1 cup whole milk 2 large egg yolks 1/4 cup granulated white sugar 2 Tbsp butter, melted 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt 3 - 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Mix dough. Place into greased bowl, cover and let rise until doubled, about 90 minutes. Roll and use a 3-inch cutter to cut rounds.

RISE AGAIN AND FRY

NO. 2

Let cut rounds rise until doubled, covered with a towel. Fry in 360F oil

ROLL IN SUGAR AND FILL WITH JAM
